affic Police, and other law enforcement agencies conducted a flag march across the city on Monday to maintain p
eace and tranquility throughout the 77th Independence Day.
According
to a police spokesman the flag march under the command of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Mohammad Arsalan Shahzeb started from sports complex and passed through various routes of the city and ended back at the sports complex.
“The purpose of the flag march was to express the determination of the Islamabad police to establish p
eace and order and promote unity on Independence Day”, he added.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Syed Ali Raza said that Police Special monitoring is also being done on social media, legal action will be taken against those who spread religious and communal hatred.
No one will be allowed to take the law into their hands, the law will act upon violation, DIG Islamabad.
