ISLAMABAD, Jul 09 (APP):Wafaqi
Mohtasib, Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi on Tuesday stressed the pivotal role of businessmen and industrialists in the economic development since they provided jobs to large number of people.
He made these observations while addressing a programme organized by the Sheikhupura Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Mohtasib said that in view of the important role of the Chamber of Commerce, a separate portal was being set up with the cooperation of Chamber of Commerce for fast track resolution of the problems being faced by business community. “The complaints lodged th
rough this portal, if not resolved within 30 days, will be automatically transferred to the Wafaqi
Mohtasib’s Office for
further action”, he observed.

further stated that the services of his office were always available for early redressal of their complaints.
He said that complaints can also be lodged online while 23 Regional Offices and Complaint Centres are busy redressing public complaints in various parts of the country.

Mohtasib said that during 2023, the institution disposed of more than 194,000 cases. He said that the rice being produced in the Sheikhupura region was known the world over for its premium quality. It has helped Pakistan not only to emerge as being one of the major rice exporters in the world, but also enabled it to earn the much needed foreign exchange, he added.
Earlier, the Chairman of Sheikhupura Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other representatives highlighted their problems.
